Looking for a class that goes beyond the classic clay vessel and explores the intersection of pottery and sculpture? Look no further! This 5-week class is designed for those who want to push beyond traditional forms, whether by creating sculptural vessels or fully sculptural ceramic works. In addition to learning fundamental sculpture techniques and principles, students will have the opportunity to create a larger piece up to 20″ tall over the course of the session. Skills developed include initial design, structural principles, surface finishing, and carving techniques.
