Since our founding in 1960, Davis Arts Center has been a leader in arts education in our community. In 1987, we moved into our current building at 1919 F Street.
Our facility encompasses more than 10,000 square feet of studio space, offices, and meeting rooms.
STUDIO A | Wheel Throwing
Equipped with 9 throwing wheels, 2 tables, 2 sinks, clay tools, ample shelving, clay storage, and patio & kiln room access, this room is ideal for intermediate to advanced ceramicists!
STUDIO B | Handbuilding & Glazing
Attached to the wheel throwing studio is the hand building and glazing studio, which is equipped with hand building tools, glazing materials, 2 sinks, large tables, ample shelving, a slab roller, and patio access. This studio provides more surface area for working with clay.
KILN ROOM
Off Studio A is the kiln room, which contains three electric kilns and a pugmill. We primarily do low- and medium-temperature firings.
STUDIO C | Textiles
This studio room is for all things fiber arts. This room is equipped with cabinets, one sink, counter surface, tables, chairs, and sewing machines.
STUDIO D | Meeting Room
Off the front office is our meeting room. With views of Community Park, this versatile space serves as both a meeting room and break room.
STUDIO E | Community Art Studio
Our Community Art Studio is home to free community programming and a variety of visual arts classes. Equipped with stations for painting, printmaking, paper, cardboard, fabric, and more, this studio sparks creativity and inspires imagination—without limits!
STUDIO F | Performing Arts Studio
Equipped with a projection screen, this small studio is perfect for performing art practices, and meetings.
STUDIO G | Small Dance Studio
With ceiling-to-floor mirrors and natural light, this dance studio is perfect for small group practice.
STUDIO H | Large Dance Studio
Equipped with mirrors, windows, a sound system, and wall-mounted bars, this room is perfect for ballet, Zumba, ballroom dance, social dances, and more.
ATRIUM | Multi-Purpose Room
Our largest space, the Atrium, serves as a multi-purpose room. It is used as a waiting room, office, art room, performance and exhibit space, and so much more!
