New Year’s Wish-Making Piñata at Davis Arts Center, featuring colorful donkey piñatas and confetti.

New Year’s Wish-Making Piñata

Participants are invited to start the new year by creating and designing their own piñata filled with wishes, hopes, and intentions for the year ahead. Beginning with piñata history and reflective writing exercises, participants will then make their own piñata using traditional techniques.

Throughout the piñata-making process, participants are invited to reflect on what they want to invite into their lives – from personal goals and new experiences, to hopes for their families and communities. We hope that after learning how to make their first New Year’s piñata, participants will be inspired to continue this tradition for years to come!
