Adult Wheel Throwing: Level 1
Ever wanted to try your hand at the potter’s wheel? Learn the basic techniques of wheel throwing or expand your skills and produce basic projects while becoming familiar with the terminology and techniques of clay. The small class size allows for personal attention from the instructor to foster success. This is an introductory to intermediate wheel class, designed for all students.
Art Explorers: Family Open Studio
Looking for a space where you, your family, and even friends can have fun with art and creativity? Drop in at our Art Explorers: Family Open Studio! Explore an array of art materials, such as paint, oil pastels, and recycled materials. Let your creative imagination run wild! (An adult must attend with at least one child, and children must attend with an adult.)
Handbuilding: Level 1
Ever wanted to try your hand at sculpting with clay? This beginner-friendly handbuilding class is the perfect place to start! Over the course of 5-weeks, students will have the opportunity to learn about the entire ceramic process – from shaping the clay using handbuilding techniques, to glazing and kiln firing. This class is ideal for beginners, but can be taken multiple times as each session offers new projects and inspiration.
Weaving for All Ages
An individualized weaving class for all ages and skill levels. Beginners learn to produce simple weaving projects while becoming familiar with basic weaving terminology and techniques. More experienced students will work at perfecting their technique, using more complex looms and patterns with less step-by-step direction. Since there are many items to be made, classes may be taken more than once. (Materials included)
Art Café
Visit the Art Café every second and fourth Sunday to enjoy a cozy morning crafting with a complimentary warm beverage! Create at your own pace using provided materials, or bring your own (no hazardous or materials with strong orders). Adults and Teens only.
Adult Mixed Media
Enjoy collage, printmaking, book binding, and more in this 5-week Mixed Media workshop! Participants will learn a new mixed media technique each week, which they will incorporate into a final body of artwork by the end of the workshop. All skill levels are welcome.
