As a third-generation weaver, originally from the Netherlands, I have shared that art form in various countries and since 1986 as an instructor at Davis Arts Center. While my teaching formerly used to be separated by age groups, I now enjoy the intergenerational make-up of my classes which occasionally include children of former students. I love teaching the hands-on experience that incorporates math, designing patterns, individual choices of materials, following directions and the joy of creating a useful as well as attractive product.
